• add other people to your site
• post a syllabus
• post announcements
• post files (Word, PDF)
• create events in the calendar
• create an assignment for students to submit work
• review and grade assignments 
• e-mail the class
• have a sign-up sheet for office hours or the like
• add content to your site through pages
• reorganize the navigation bar on your site
