### About Canvas and the Migration

**Why did Harvard move to Canvas?**

Canvas provides a rich set of tools to support teaching and learning, a modern look and feel, and many options to extend the platform with additional tools. Learn more about the platform and the plans to migrate on the [Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) Program website](http://tlt.harvard.edu/news/migration-canvas-lms).

See [what faculty and students said about Canvas](/canvas-feedback) from our 2013-14 pilots.

**How do I access my Spring Canvas site?**

Canvas course sites have been created for all Spring FAS courses. The sooner you prepare and publish your site, the sooner it'll be ready for students shopping for their Spring courses. ATG is ready to help you migrate course materials and prepare your site.

**What help is available for my FAS course?**

The Academic Technology Group (ATG) is ready to help faculty and teaching staff take advantage of new Canvas features and to move complex Course iSites materials into Canvas. ATG's staff of experienced instructional technologists works with faculty, teaching staff, and others to migrate course materials and learn how to make best use of the new platform. Student consultants are also on hand to assist—[contact ATG](/contact) to find out more.

**What about other iSites?**

Standard (non-course) iSites are also being moved off the iSites platform. Visit the [Standard iSites Migration project](http://standardisites.harvard.edu/) to learn more about migrating non-course iSites to other platforms.
