Deb Sears, Learning Spaces Instructional Technologist at Harvard University

Deb Sears is a learning spaces instructional technologist with Academic Technology for FAS, where she is responsible for facilitating the use of technology-rich learning spaces in the FAS via expert consulting, support, and implementation. 

Prior to working for ATG, Deb was the Technology Administrator for the Department of History of Art + Architecture (2006-15). In this role, she was responsible for providing high-level technical desktop support, instructional classroom support, and course website support to faculty, teaching fellows, graduate students, and staff. During her tenure, Deb assisted faculty with migrating from analog slides to digital images and provided them with solutions for organizing and cataloging images locally; worked closely with Media Technology Services to upgrade classroom projection and multimedia equipment; and assisted in the redesign of two classrooms. Her contributions to the department were recognized through numerous Impact Awards (2010-13) and a Dean’s Distinction Award (2013).

Deb earned her undergraduate in Mathematics from Northeastern University.
